SHOP THE SHORE BUMPER STICKERS
If you’re visiting Wardwaterfront.com because you saw my website on a bumper sticker that said SHOP THE SHORE this page is meant to be an explanation. As you now know, I’m a realtor, not a retail business owner. If you ever need a realtor give me a call – that would be great. But that’s not what this idea is about.
SHOP THE SHORE grew out of a conversation with friends--friends with local businesses who are struggling. Which is pretty much every local business on the shore, especially in this economy.
It seemed to me a perfect time to start a SHOP THE SHORE campaign---something simple to urge us all to buy local as often as we can. Not just shops and services but local restaurants too. DINE THE DELMARVA as Gary Cochran says.
I took my idea to several of the obvious places--- business, tourism and chamber of commerce folks. Everyone told me it was a great idea, none of them did anything to make it happen. And so I decided to print up some bumper stickers and start from the grass roots.
Please let me know if you want additional bumper stickers and do spread the word. SHOP THE SHORE is such a simple thing—saves gas, and supports those of us who live here. It’s something you can do now, today. I love this magical place and am doing all I can to help it thrive.
