Sunset from Phyllis' house. If you love sunsets over the water you'll love the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Prefer sunrise over the water? We've got you covered.

Is your inner explorer longing to go free? Are you craving elbow room? Wanting to hunt, fish, and stomp around on your own private waterfront?

We've been doing exactly that here on Virginia's Eastern Shore since 1609. And remarkably there's still room for you.

See details under our showcase listings or click the shortcut link next to each.

185 ACRES      $2,800,000

77 ACRES      $2,800,000

We like to keep it simple. Most folks browse the web just looking for information, and that's what we hope we've provided -- straight forward information about what's for sale and what this wonderful area is like.

Our website allows you to search all of Virginia's Eastern Shore real estate listings currently active on the Mutliple Listing Service for all real estate companies, without having to fill out any forms. And we won't contact you unless you contact us first.

Whether you are upgrading or downsizing, looking for a vacation home or planning for your dream retirement, the Eastern Shore of Virginia offers a unique setting.

Life's easier here. The pace is slower, the people are friendly, and there is a strong sense of community.

Over 80% of the homes here are occupied by full time residents. Neighbors look out for each other.

Increasingly, folks planning to retire or already retired are finding the Shore an ideal location that's within easy traveling distance to Norfolk, Richmond, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, Long Island, New Jersey and New York.

By clicking on SEARCH MLS here or in the upper right corner of this page, our website allows you to search all the real estate listings currently active on the Multiple Listing Service, including all waterfront and Chesapeake Bayfront homes and land for sale. The MLS also lists all interior homes and lots, including farms.

If you see a property that interests you, we can find out answers to whatever questions you may have, regardless of what company has the listing. And if you don't see exactly what you want, contact us and we will keep a look out if something comes on the market.

If you've never been to Virginia's Eastern Shore, click on our VIDEO link here or at the bottom of this page. It's a 4 minute video montage that will give you a sense of shore life. Before you waste a lot of time browsing, take a look and see if life here appeals to you. As you'll see we're rural, with vast agricultural areas and a few historic small towns. That's not for everybody. But if the shore speaks to you, you'll find it's a magical place. Pictured here is the waterfront town of Onancock, one of the many waterfront villages on the Eastern Shore.

Procrastinators alert:

Welcome to 2017, there are more homes and properties on the market than there have been in a long time. Interest rates are still at historic lows and so are many of our prices. But the rate of sales has increased dramatically since November. It is quite a phenomenon.

It seems the foreclosures are pretty much out of the system but there are still some amazing bargains as people who were hoping for prices to rise just can't wait anymore and are selling at major discounts. We feel this is likely the last few months of screaming deals.

When these homes clear the market real estate here on the shore will be at our new normal. It seems none of us are sure yet just what that will be but waiting no longer feels like the smart strategy to us. What exactly are you waiting for?

Now is the time to make decisions about your life's next adventure.

Compare the price of waterfront on the Eastern Shore with those of the Outer Banks, Ocean City, Virginia Beach, the Delaware beaches and even Maryland's Eastern Shore, and you will realize what a bargain Virginia's Eastern Shore is. But it's not just the prices here that attract people. It's our unique lifestyle and relaxed pace.

If you aren't familiar with the Eastern Shore, go to our WELCOME PAGE. There you'll find information about how our small towns, subdivisions and farms combine to create a community that offers you options to fit the lifestyle you've been looking for.

If there is something we've missed that could possibly help with your search, let us know and we'll add it to the site. And if you have any questions, please email us at at any time.

As you can see from this picture, it's rural here. Over 90% of the land in Northampton County is zoned agriculture. There is not only waterfront land along the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean, but there are many wide creeks, and plenty of trees.
